Read Across America

In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2, Parent-Child Home Program sites across the country took part in Read Across America, a national celebration of reading. Reading some great Dr. Seuss books, being Dr. Seuss characters, and doing Dr. Seuss themed art projects, PCHP families had lots of fun celebrating reading and one of America’s greatest children’s authors!

Here are some of our Seussians!

Worcester, MA

PCHP’s site in Worcester, MA enjoyed reading The Cat in the Hat on their home visits, and held a Dr. Seuss-themed Family Literacy Night.

Easton, PA

PCHP’s site in Easton, PA held their annual Dr. Seuss Breakfast. This year’s theme was the classic “One Fish Two Fish”. Twenty children colored and glued fish onto fish bowls, enjoyed a pancake breakfast with parents and siblings, and listened to Miss Marci Nunez, a PCHP Early Learning Specialist, read this parent and child favorite.
