At ParentChild+ our mission is to bring brighter futures to young children and their families. Through our home visiting work, we are acutely aware that families are almost always in periods of transition. Young children are constantly developing and changing, while parents adjust and develop alongside them. This process also occurs within an ever-changing context that includes the community, family history, culture, and social interactions with others. Families also have to adapt to schools and other community institutions that may, or may not, be responsive to their needs. Our relationships with families give us a unique opportunity to listen to family needs, and support families through transitions. The 2020 ParentChild+ Conference will be an opportunity to reflect on our work and learn from others, as we aim to empower parents and support families in navigating transitions.
